Great Email Newsletters: NYT Cooking
Here’s an example of a newsletter that I actually read and love!
The pictures are mouthwatering.
The recipes are fantastic - although sometimes call for some unique ingredients.
I find the tone and topic soothing. I’ll read it even after I’ve decided that I’m not going to make anything from the email.
The content is enriching and interesting.
They’ve made it so easy to save / share the recipes.
Interestingly, I didn’t even notice they had ads until I started to pick the email apart. LOL I think Google is telling me to shave my legs.
The layout is clean and uncluttered, even with the ads it doesn’t feel salesy.
I feel like they’re talking directly to me as well as the masses, because who doesn’t like queso?!
